The Etac R82 product range is highly regarded by healthcare professionals and families and includes the R82, Etac, Molift and Immedia brands. Their high quality assistive products include wheelchairs, buggies, standing, walking, toileting and bathing aids as well as manual and mechanical transfer products.
At the busy Etac R82 stand, the innovative R82 Gazelle standing frame, the Stingray car seat and the x:panda seating system, with patented recline adjustment and dynamic backrest, were particularly well received by show visitors. Families and children were able to participate in crucial hands-on demonstrations and gain beneficial specialist advice. The experienced and friendly Etac R82 team also showcased the popular Mustang and Crocodile walking aids and advised on R82 toilet and bathing products including the Heron, Manatee, Flamingo and Penguin.
Further stand demonstrations of the Molift Air hoist and Molift Smart portable folding hoist allowed visitors to gain essential knowledge regarding hoist and sling selection for transferring children.
Throughout the day, expert R82 Clinical Consultants held a series of well-attended and successful product workshops. Frances George, Specialist Physiotherapist, MSc, BSc, HPC, MCSP discussed the benefits of sitting and standing in abduction – beneficial to certain children with Cerebral Palsy who experience hip migration. Frances demonstrated how the innovative R82 Gazelle standing frame is being used in an early intervention standing programme. Gail Russell, Occupational Therapist, MSc, BSc, hosted one of the event’s free CPD accredited seminars: “Essential Requirements for Seating Intervention”. The well-attended seminar saw delegates learn the importance of a physical assessment to ensure appropriate individual seating support with optimal positioning for function and participation. Gail also discussed dynamic seating at the R82 stand and the publication of R82’s interactive x:panda workbook.
Andrew King, Etac’s Sales Manager, comments: “The Etac R82 stand proved very popular at “Kidz to Adultz in the Middle” and our informative product seminars were equally well received. We welcomed many interested new customers and successfully demonstrated our adaptable children’s disability solutions, arranging further appointments for one-to-one assessments. It was wonderful to see many families, who already happily use our assistive equipment, visit our stand to enquire about further products and accessories - or simply to pass on positive and inspirational feedback. We are delighted that our bespoke, specialist product range, continues to inspire such loyalty and successfully offers solutions to children of all ages and their families.”
